I was born in the Philippines, but moved permanently to Finland three years ago to follow my heart. My husband is a Finn, and we decided to make our home here. We have a son in the second grade and a daughter in kindergarten.

I have a degree in Literature from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila. I have worked as an English teacher for a Manila university, an editorial assistant for a religious publication, a secretary for a real estate office, a customer service representative for an American outsourcing company and a database specialist for the same firm. Yet, somehow, writing has always been a big part of my life. I have been writing and editing on a freelance basis since high school. I love writing and all the pain that comes with trying to find just the right word for just the right sentence for just the right story.

Writing for the English website is a challenge, because of the sheer volume of topics that I can write about. I am especially interested in Chinese art, culture and literature and am looking forward to exploring those topics with our readers.
